MEET THE TEAM

Nick Polisi
President and State Representative
My name is Nick Polisi, and I am a Senior TVDM major. I am the President of NYFTSA. I have been a part of the club for over 3 years now. Outside of NYFTSA, I am the Director of Programming for ICTV and I’m an Operations Manager at the Campus Center. This semester is going to be a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see what the club will accomplish together!

Ethan Wilson
Vice President
Ethan is a Junior, majoring in Film, and has a minor in Writing for Screen Media. He is currently the Vice President of NYFTSA, Park Productions Marketing Manager, and was formerly a director/producer for ICTV's First Years S1/S2. He has worked on multiple short films, such as Ripple, Anicca, Cheaters, and Fears We Bury. He is continuing to work on his thesis film!

Kayleigh Sherman
Treasurer and Travel Coordinator
Kayleigh Sherman is a sophomore TPDM major with Audio Production and Live Event minors. This is her third semester on the E-Board and her first as Treasurer and Travel Coordinator. Outside of NYFTSA, she's usually on a film set or working as an AV Tech for IC.

Alyssa Hurd
Assistant Treasurer and Travel Coordinator
My name is Alyssa Hurd, I am a sophomore Television, Photography, and Digital Media Major with a Minor in Writing for Film, TV and Emerging Media. I am the Assistant Treasurer and Travel Coordinator for NYFTSA. I am also the Communications Director for ICPAC and the Content Producer for ICTV's only entertainment news show Looped In!

Kaitlyn Peconie
Director of Social Media & Public Relations
Kaitlyn Peconie is a third-year Television, Photography, and Digital Media major with a minor in Advertising, Public Relations, and Marketing Communications. This is her second semester on the E-Board, and her first as the Director of Social Media & PR. Outside of NYFTSA, Kaitlyn is a Brand Ambassador for How To Be A Redhead and works in various roles within Ithaca College Television.

Jett Sofko
Assistant Director of Social Media & Public Relations
Jett Sofko (they/them) I am a junior Film BFA major with a minor in Writing for Screen Media. Jett is also apart of the Public Relations team with the Ithaca League of Women Rollers, also helping out with social media and an Associate producer for Suburban Legends. Jett has worked on several short films such as Femme Fatales, Annica, Dead End Job, etc. Jett is super excited to be apart of the NYFTSA E-Board as Assistant Social Media Director!

Sofia Soto
Event Planner/Coordinator
Hi everyone! My name is Sofia Soto, and I am the NYFTSA Events Coordinator. I am a junior TVDM major with a minor in writing, and I currently serve as the ICTV Director of Development. I also produce and work on various films, and work in Master Control+ at the climbing wall in the FIT. I have been a part of NYFSTA since my freshman year, and am very excited to see what this semester has to hold!

Maia De Gabriele
Assistant Event Planner/Coordinator
Hi, my name is Maia! I'm a current junior in Film who loves all stages of the film production process. In my free time I really enjoy reading and playing video games with my friends!

Chrissy Guest
Faculty Advisor
Chrissy Guest is the founding faculty member of the New York Film Television Student Alliance. She serves as the Ithaca College chapter advisor as well as the Advisory Chair for NYFTSA statewide.
An award-winning educator, she teaches television production courses at the Roy H. Park School of Communications. She has approached media from several angles over the course of her career, having worked as a photojournalist, producer, director, writer, art director, news assignment editor, and numerous other roles behind the scenes. She is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker for Infinite Hope: MLK and the Civil Rights Movement, airing nationally on PBS. Guest currently channels her practical experience and knowledge into future generations by teaching at Ithaca College and developing new curriculum, immersive work experiences, and degree programs in an ever-innovating industry. Guest earned her M.F.A. in Creative Writing and her B.S. in Cultural Studies, Television and Radio Production. She is passionate about inspiring future filmmakers who want to tell stories through moving pictures, whether live-action or animated.
